Default Purchasing a Laptop/CPU

What specs do you guys look at when purchasing a new cpu/laptop? Why does that matter?

Which company do you recommend? Why?

Thanks in advance

Thanks chief, I can't give you props right now but thanks for the heads up. Also, how do you feel about blue tooth products? Such as key boards, towers, etc and linking them up with T.Vs. Are they pretty solid?

I have a couple of 40 inch plasmas in the house. Was wondering if it would be beneficial to run the cpu/laptop via cable.. Or go with something new such as them blue tooth TV?

Not balling or trying to come off like I am. But I would like to be more sound when it comes to the new shit. Thanks again

P.S Yo E.I, whats good chief? You doing any fly shit this month?

It really depends on what you're using it for. My home pc has 4 gb ram and a 300 gb hard drive. I back up everything on externals so I don't need a lot of space. And I only use it for the Internet and some odd stuff so I don't need a lot of ram. I wouldn't pay for top of the line shit unless you're using it for gaming or music/video studio shit.

No rpm in a solid state, they don't spin. BTW, if he got a 500 SSD, he's spending damn near the same as buying another laptop, I'd say better off with 200 gb..

Never the less, SSD is the way to go...

Or you can say fuck it all and just get a MacMini

Kaliz..make sure you go for something with an i5 or i7 processor as well...be it Windows or Mac, it's totally up to you. If you decide to go for a new PC (which more than likely will have Windows 8 OS), I suggest you get something "touch screen" based, as anything without it and has Windows 8 is confusing and stupid.

MacMini on the other hand, you can either get an i5 or i7, either way, portable as well, they start out at 500, but worth the price.

If you plan on running your plasma or whatever you have, all you need is an HDMI cord and you're game. Grab an Apple TV, then you can hear whatever sound is processing from your computer unit.

Multiple options, just throwing a few out there. Bluetooth is always a plus. USB 3.0 is DEFINITELY a plus, so look into that as well, seeing if you grab a USB 3.0, you can run a SSD externally and still get the desired speed.

Just really depends on what you're using it for.

Appreciate that chief.. Going to have to look up what SSD stands for. As well as this USB 3.0. Nonetheless, thanks Hand. I got you on a shot when you come back to Kali

By the way, I have run my laptop(2008) via hdmi and s-video cord on the plamsa. Cool nonetheless but I was thinking should I update to the wireless T.Vs. Touchscreen is the way to go huh? Alright, I'm going to check into that. My cousin has moniter/pc all in one. Shits nice. But I have to do some work before I get going. By the way, checked out the Apple T.V. Whats that all about?

Check out tigerdirect.com

They sell refurbished computers for cheap. I bought two towers off there and they still run with no problems.
